Koh Lipe Island is part of Thailand's Tarutao National Marine Park. It is located very close to Koh Adang island. Both are part of Butang Archipelago (aka Adang Archipelago), which also includes Koh Rawi (group's largest), Koh Butang, Koh Tanga, Koh Taratao and Koh Chuka.
Koh Lipe Island s verry well-developed resort vacation destination with numerous hotels for all budgets and modern vacation amenities. However, if compared to other Southeast Asian travel destinations, the island is rather expensive. As prices vary greatly by season, budget should avoid peak summer season as some hotels rates are double the low season prices.

The island can be reached year-round from Pak Bara (Southern Thailand). During peak season, tour boats and speed boats run to and from Pulau Langkawi, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket. Island hopping is another option to visit Koh Lipe. The nearest airport is Hat Yai (mainland Thailand, near the border with Malaysia).
