Nauta is a Maranon River (Amazon River) cruise port and town in Loreto Province's northeastern part (Peruvian Amazon). The town is located approx 100 km (60 ml) south province's capital city Iquitos. Nauta is on the north bank of Maranon River (large tributary of Upper Amazon), just a few km from the confluence with Ucayali River.

Nauta (Peru) river cruise port

The settlement was first established by Cocama people, following the 1830 uprising at Lagunas. The new town soon became major commercial hub of Peru's Amazonian lowlands.

Nauta is accessible via road from Iquitos and by ships navigating Amazon (Maranon) River. Tour boats from Nauta sail to Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (Peru's 2nd largest protected area) located approx 183 km (114 ml) southwest of Iquitos.

The Nauta cruise port map is interactive. It shows the port's exact location, along with the real-time cruise ship traffic (if any) in its vicinity - today, and right now. By zooming-out you can see other cruise ship ports located near Nauta, Peru Amazon.

If you lose the Nauta location on the map, simply reload the page (also with F5 button). This feature is integrated with the CruiseMapper's cruise ship tracker tracking the vessels' current positions at sea and in ports.
