Roudnice nad Labem (Raudnitz a der Elbe) is an Elbe River cruise port and town in Czech Republic's Central Bohemia region, with a population of around 14,000. The town is best known for its early-20th-century Roudnice Bridge (steel-made, the medieval stone bridge was Bohemia's 3rd oldest - after Prague and Písek) and Roudnice Castle and Winery (owned by the House of Lobkowicz / Czech noble family dating back to 14th-century).
The modern town has several large shopping malls, libraries, a public swimming pool, stadiums, ice-hockey arena. The town is served by Roudnice Airport (LKRO / domestic flights). One of Bohemia's oldest towns, Roudnice received city status in late-12th-century and was initially named Rudnik (Rudnica). In 1333 AD was ordered the construction of Bohemia's first stone bridge over Elbe River (rebuilt into a steel road bridge in 1910). In the 19th century, after the opening of the Prague-Dresden railway, Raudnitz became a major industrial and economic center. Until 1918, the city was part of Habsburgermonarchie (Habsburg Empire / 1526-1804).
As a cruise port, Roudnice is included in the regular schedule of one of Europe's largest river cruise companies - CroisiEurope.
The next table shows the company's 8-day cruise tour itinerary between homeports Prague and Berlin-Tegel, with prices from ~USD 2100 pp (double occupancy).
