AmaLea cabins review
Most AmaLea cabins are French Balcony staterooms, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a railing. The ship offers a total of 9 stateroom categories, each accommodating a maximum of 2 guests.
One of the standout features of AmaWaterways’ modern riverboats is the “Twin Balcony” stateroom design. These spacious accommodations combine a classic French balcony (also known as a “Juliet balcony”) with a separate, step-out veranda for all-weather use. All Suites feature this twin balcony layout.
Below is a review of AmaWaterways AmaLea stateroom furnishings, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:
- Hotel-style queen or twin beds (200 x 160 cm) with luxury bedding, under-bed storage for suitcases, ample closet space, two long-range portable audio devices (used for land excursions), individual climate control, and 220V/110V power outlets.
- All staterooms have private en-suite bathrooms with glass-door showers, hairdryers, premium bath amenities, and terry bathrobes. Additional amenities include a personal safe, direct-dial telephone, mini-bar (available in Twin Balcony cabins only), complimentary bottled water (replenished daily), HD flat-screen TV (with local/satellite reception and movies-on-demand), infotainment system (featuring in-room complimentary Internet and real-time bridge cam view), and free Wi-Fi (with shipwide coverage).
- Complimentary alcoholic beverages (wine, spirits, beer) and soft drinks are served during lunch and dinner.
- Complimentary bicycles are available for guided shore excursions and private land tours along the AmaLea itineraries.
- Complimentary shore excursions are included and cover bus travel, walking and biking tours, and services of professional local guides. AmaWaterways offers three excursion pacing options: “Gentle Walkers” (leisurely touring), “Active Walkers” (for more immersive exploration), and “Late Starter” (for guests who prefer a later start).
AmaLea and her modified Concerto-class sisterships are AmaWaterways’ first family-friendly riverboats. Each ship features cabin configurations tailored for group and family travel. AmaLea has 12 family cabins (each accommodating up to 3 guests), 6 pairs of connecting cabins (linked by internal doors, with a combined capacity of up to 5 guests), and 4 suites (each with a convertible sofabed, accommodating up to 4 guests).
