AmaSiena cabins review

Most AmaSiena cabins are French Balcony staterooms, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a railing. There are 9 cabin categories in total, each accommodating a maximum of 2 guests.

One of the signature features of AmaWaterways' modern riverboats is the “Twin Balcony” stateroom design. These spacious accommodations combine a traditional French balcony (also known as a “Juliet balcony”) with a separate outside step-out veranda for all-weather enjoyment. All Suites on board include this twin-balcony layout.

Below is a review of AmaWaterways AmaSiena staterooms, highlighting the furniture, included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • Hotel-style queen or twin beds (200 x 160 cm) with luxury bedding, space under the beds for suitcase storage, ample closet space, two long-range portable audio devices (for use during land excursions), individual climate control, and 220V/110V power outlets.
  • Detailed cabin layouts and furniture configurations can be viewed on the AmaWaterways AmaSiena cabin plans in the table above.
  • All staterooms include a private en-suite bathroom with a glass-door shower stall, hairdryer, premium bath products, terry bathrobes, in-room safe, direct-dial telephone, and an HD flat-screen TV with satellite/local channels and movies-on-demand. Additional features include an infotainment system offering complimentary in-room Internet and real-time bridge cam view, and free shipwide Wi-Fi.
  • Mini-bars are available in “Twin Balcony” staterooms only, and bottled water is provided daily at no charge.
  • Complimentary alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, and spirits) and soft drinks are served during lunch and dinner.
  • Complimentary bicycles are available for use during shore excursions and private land tours along AmaSiena’s itineraries.
  • Complimentary shore excursions include transportation (by bus or on foot/bike), professional local guides, and are available in three paced options: “Gentle Walkers” for leisurely touring, “Active Walkers” for more vigorous exploration, and “Late Starter” for those preferring a relaxed start.

The AmaSiena, along with her sisterships from the modified Concerto-class, are the first family-friendly riverboats in the AmaWaterways fleet. The ship features cabin configurations tailored for group travel, including 12 family cabins (each accommodating up to 3 guests), 6 pairs of connecting cabins (linked by internal doors, with a maximum combined capacity of 5 guests), and 4 suites with convertible sofabeds (each accommodating up to 4 guests).
