AmaLucia cabins review

Most AmaLucia cabins are French Balcony staterooms, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a railing. There are 9 cabin categories in total, each accommodating a maximum of 2 guests.

One of the standout features of AmaWaterways' newest riverboats is the “Twin Balcony” stateroom design. In addition to the classic French (Juliet) balcony, these spacious accommodations include a separate step-out veranda, offering all-weather usability. All Suites feature the Twin Balcony layout.

Below is a review of AmaWaterways AmaLucia staterooms, including furnishings, included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • Hotel-style queen or twin beds (200 x 160 cm) with luxury bedding, under-bed storage for suitcases, ample closet space, two long-range portable audio devices (for use on land tours), individual climate control, and 220V/110V power outlets.
  • Detailed furniture layouts can be viewed on the AmaWaterways AmaLucia cabin plans in the table above.
  • All accommodations include a private en-suite bathroom with a glass-door shower stall, hairdryer, premium bath amenities, terry bathrobes, in-room safe, direct-dial telephone, and HD flat-screen TV (local/satellite channels, movies-on-demand). Additional features include an infotainment system with complimentary in-room Internet, real-time bridge cam view, and shipwide free Wi-Fi. “Twin Balcony” cabins also feature a mini-bar and complimentary bottled water replenished daily.
  • Complimentary alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, spirits) and soft drinks are served during lunch and dinner.
  • Complimentary bicycles are available for use during shore excursions and private land tours along AmaLucia's itinerary.
  • Complimentary shore excursions are included and feature motorcoach travel, walking and biking tours, and services from professional local guides. AmaWaterways offers three excursion options tailored to guest preferences: “Gentle Walkers” (leisurely pace), “Active Walkers” (more exploratory), and “Late Starter” (later departure time).

The AmaLucia, along with her modified Concerto-class sisterships, is among AmaWaterways' first family-friendly riverboats. Each vessel offers stateroom configurations designed for group travel. AmaLucia features 12 family cabins (each accommodating up to 3 guests), 6 pairs of connecting cabins (interconnected by internal doors, max capacity 5 guests), and 4 suites (each with a convertible sofa bed, max capacity 4 guests).
