Avalon Tapestry II cabins and suites

Most Avalon Tapestry II cabins (78%) feature a French Balcony. Each of these staterooms includes two floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening to a “Juliet” (also known as a "false balcony"). There are six cabin categories in total, each with a maximum capacity of two guests. Avalon Waterways does not offer handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers on any of its riverboats.

Trademarked as “Panorama Suites,” the French Balcony cabins span two full decks. Each stateroom features another Avalon Waterways trademark—the “Open-Air Balcony.” These cabins boast wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows (14 ft / 4 m wide) that open to a balconet. This design makes the entire room feel like a balcony, while the “indoor balcony” offers the comfort of a full-sized room.

The most affordable cabins are located on Deck 1. These accommodations include two fixed (non-opening) windows positioned near the ceiling.

Below is a review of Avalon Tapestry II staterooms, highlighting furniture, included amenities, and complimentary services:

Hotel-style beds (“Comfort Collection” twin beds convertible to queen, 200 x 160 cm), generous under-bed storage, luxury bedding sets, Egyptian cotton linens, pillow menu, and memory foam mattress toppers. Also provided are duvets, extra blankets, bathrobes, slippers, a 3-door closet with shelves, bedside tables with lamps, individual climate control, 220V outlets (2-pin plugs), and soundproof walls between cabins.

Each stateroom includes a spacious bathroom with a toilet, sink with marble countertop, large mirror, glass-door shower, granite tiles, premium fixtures, L’Occitane bath amenities, and a hairdryer. Additional in-room features include an HD flat-screen TV (satellite channels, movie options, webcam views), a mini-bar/fridge, writing desk/vanity with armchair, direct-dial phone, alarm clock, safe, and complimentary bottled water (replenished daily).

Royal and Panorama Suites also offer a seating area for up to six guests, furnished with a sofa, coffee table, and armchairs, along with a makeup mirror. All Suite cabins provide French Balcony views.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the ship (Internet usage may incur additional costs).

Additional complimentary services include laundry, room service with nightly turndown, and drinks (regional wine, beer, soft drinks) served at dinner. Guests may also request continental breakfast and beverages via room service.

Avalon Waterways provides complimentary shore excursions, including themed “food and wine” experiences, guided culture and history tours, and leisure activities such as sightseeing and walking tours with certified local guides.
