Avalon Saigon cabins review

All Avalon Saigon cabins (100%) are Suite accommodations, each featuring a French Balcony. Every stateroom includes two floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a false balcony ("balconet") protected by railings. The Saigon cruise ship boasts a contemporary design with wall-to-wall windows in all staterooms and public areas. There are two cabin categories, each with a maximum capacity of two guests.

Avalon Waterways does not offer handicap-accessible (wheelchair-friendly) cabins for disabled passengers on any of its riverboats.

Below is a review of RV Avalon Saigon staterooms, including furniture, price-included amenities, and complimentary services:

  • Hotel-style beds (“Comfort Collection”) configurable as two twin beds or one king-size bed (200 x 160 cm), deluxe bedding with premium mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, duvets, wool blankets, and a selection of soft or firm pillows; terry bathrobes and slippers; 3-door closet with shelving; under-bed storage; bedside tables with lamps; individual climate control; 220V outlets (2-pin plugs).
  • Each stateroom includes a spacious bathroom (WC and sink) with a separate glass-door shower, hairdryer, premium bath amenities; a seating area; mini-bar/fridge; writing desk/vanity with chair; alarm clock; safe; complimentary bottled water (refreshed daily, including during land tours and excursions); no in-room TV or phone.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the lounges only (satellite Internet access incurs an additional charge).
  • Complimentary services include laundry, nightly turndown service, and beverages (local spirits and beer, wine, and soft drinks served at dinner).
  • All Avalon Waterways Asia tours and excursions (sightseeing and walking tours led by certified local guides) are complimentary. Audio headsets are provided. Fresh fruit and soft drinks are offered after each land excursion.

All cabins feature open-air balconies with floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall windows (4.3 m / 14 ft wide) equipped with retractable screen systems and sliding doors (opening 2.7 m / 9 ft). Each private balcony includes a seating area with a loveseat, low table, and chair. Comfort Collection Beds (custom-made) are a signature element of the Avalon Waterways Mekong cruising experience.
