Avalon Impression cabins and suites

Most Avalon Impression cabins (80%) feature a French Balcony. Each of these staterooms has two floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a “Juliet” (balconet, also known as a "false balcony"). There are six cabin categories in total, each accommodating a maximum of two guests. Avalon Waterways does not offer any handicap-accessible (wheelchair-friendly) cabins on its riverboats.

Trademarked as “Panorama Suites,” the French Balcony cabins span two full decks. Each stateroom showcases another Avalon Waterways trademark – the “Open-Air Balcony.” These cabins feature the river cruise industry’s first-ever wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows (14 ft / 4 m wide) that open to a balconet. This design allows the entire room to feel like a balcony, and the "indoor balcony" to feel like part of the living space.

The most affordable cabins are located on Deck 1. These staterooms have two fixed (non-opening) windows positioned near the ceiling.

Hotel beds (“Comfort Collection” twin beds convertible to queen, 200 x 160 cm), ample under-bed storage, luxury bedding sets, Egyptian cotton linens, pillow menu, memory foam mattress toppers, duvets and extra blankets, bathrobes, slippers, 3-door closet with shelves, bedside tables with lamps, individual climate control, 220V outlets (2-pin plugs), and soundproof walls.

Each stateroom also features a spacious bathroom (toilet, sink with marble countertop, large mirror, glass-door shower, granite tiles, premium fixtures, L’Occitane bath amenities, hairdryer), HD flat-screen TV (with satellite reception, movie channels, and webcam views), mini-bar/fridge, writing desk/vanity with armchair, direct-dial phone, alarm clock, safe, and complimentary bottled water replenished daily.

Royal and Panorama Suites additionally include a seating area for six (with sofa, coffee table, and armchairs) and a makeup mirror. All suites offer French balcony views.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available shipwide (Internet usage may incur extra charges).

Additional complimentary services include laundry, room service (with nightly turndown service), and drinks (regional wines, beer, soft drinks at dinner). Continental breakfast and beverages can be delivered via room service.

Avalon Waterways also offers complimentary tours and excursions, including “food and wine” themed experiences, culture and history-guided tours, and leisure activities such as sightseeing and walking tours led by certified local guides.
