Avalon Visionary cabins and suites

Most Avalon Visionary cabins (78%) feature a French Balcony. Each of these staterooms includes two floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a Juliet balcony (also known as a "false balcony"). There are six cabin categories in total, each accommodating up to two guests. Avalon Waterways does not offer handicap-accessible (wheelchair-friendly) cabins on any of its riverboats.

Marketed as “Panorama Suites,” the French Balcony cabins span two full decks. These suites also include Avalon Waterways’ signature “Open-Air Balcony” — the river cruising industry’s first wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows (14 ft / 4 m wide) that open to a balconet. This design makes the entire room feel like a balcony, while the "indoor balcony" feels like an extension of the suite.

The most affordable cabins are located on Deck 1. These staterooms feature two fixed (non-opening) windows positioned near the ceiling.

Hotel-style beds (“Comfort Collection” twin beds convertible to queen, size 200 x 160 cm, with ample under-bed storage), luxury bedding, Egyptian cotton linens, pillow menu, and memory foam mattress toppers; duvets and extra blankets; bathrobes and slippers; 3-door closet with shelves; bedside tables with lamps; individual climate control; 220V power outlets (2-pin European-style plugs); and soundproof separation walls.

Each Avalon Visionary stateroom includes a spacious bathroom featuring a toilet, sink with marble countertops, large mirror, glass-door shower with granite tile flooring, premium fixtures, L’Occitane bath products, and a hairdryer. Additional in-room amenities include an HD flat-screen TV (with satellite channels, movie selections, and ship webcam views), a mini-bar/fridge, writing desk/vanity with an armchair, direct-dial phone, alarm clock, safe, and complimentary bottled water replenished daily.

Royal and Panorama Suites offer additional comforts, such as a sitting area for up to six people (with a sofa, coffee table, and armchairs) and a makeup mirror. All Suite accommodations provide French Balcony views.

Complimentary shipwide Wi-Fi is available (Internet usage may incur extra charges).

Included services also feature complimentary laundry, nightly turndown service, and beverages (regional wine, beer, and soft drinks served with dinner). Continental breakfast and drinks may be delivered through room service.

Avalon Waterways also provides complimentary guided tours and excursions, including “food and wine” themed experiences, cultural and historical sightseeing, and leisure walking tours, all led by certified local guides.
