Avalon Visionary

The 2012-built MS Avalon Visionary ship cruises on the Danube and Rhine Rivers departing from homeports Amsterdam and Basel/Zurich.

Avalon Visionary is one of Avalon's Suite Ships, featuring two decks of suites with Wall-to-Wall Panoramic Windows.

In 2024, Avalon Waterways started its Suite Ship fleet renovation/refurbishment project. The upgrades included interiors (decor updates and renovations in all public spaces/flooring, furniture), faster Starlink Internet connectivity (a second antenna added on each boat), Sky Deck (redesign, new furniture), Observation Lounge (more seating), Gym (new Kinesis One machines, more free weights), onboard bicycles (added 15x new conventional plus 4 e-bikes per boat).  The refurbishments were phased for three years - 2024 (Passion, Imagery 2, Poetry 2, Panorama, Vista), 2025 (Artistry 2, Impression, Illumination, Tapestry 2, Tranquility 2) and 2026 (Expression, Visionary).

Cabins

Avalon Visionary has a total of 65 staterooms (of which 2 Royal Suite, 51 Panorama Suite, 12 with non-opening windows) in 6 grades. MS Avalon Visionary ship's Panorama Suites are 30% larger than industry's standard, giving the opportunity to wake up each morning to the fresh breezes and enchanting scenery.

(7-nights cruising) "Canals, Vineyards, and Paris" are 10-day voyages from Paris to Amsterdam (Northbound, code WRA), and the reverse from Amsterdam to Paris (Southbound, code WAR). Departures from Amsterdam include disembarkation in Remich, followed by bus travel to Luxembourg or Metz, then high-speed train travel to Paris (luxury hotel package included / 1-night stay). "Cruising-Only" deals are from Remich to Amsterdam (code WRA0) and the reverse from Amsterdam to Remich (code WARO).

(7-nights cruising) "Central European Experience" are 12-day voyages from Paris to Prague (Eastbound, code WRN), and the reverse from Prague to Paris (Westbound, code WNR).
