Viking Hild (built in 2017) is one of the new-generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the Valkyrie Hildr (Old Norse for “battle”). Hildr, the daughter of Högni and wife of Hedin, was believed to have the power to revive the dead on the battlefield, which she used to sustain the battle between Hedin and Högni.
Viking Hild’s deck plan includes a total of 95 staterooms accommodating 190 passengers, served by 50 crew and staff. She has 4 passenger decks and 1 glass elevator (connecting the Main and Upper decks only). The Viking longship Hild has no gym, pool/whirlpool, or spa. Guests may use health and spa facilities at luxury hotels along her itinerary route.
