MSC Cruises revoking crew privileges due to COVID cases onboard MSC Seaside

   June 12, 2022 ,   Accidents

Due to the increase in COVID cases on MSC Seaside ship, MSC is revoking crew privileges/access to public areas.

In an email sent to the crew members, the company informed them that "access to the passenger buffet, restaurants, bars, lounges, arena is revoked; the Aurea Bar and Basket Arena will no longer be available to the crew; and access to the guest buffet for privileged crew members is suspended.”

In case 30+ positive crew cases occur in a week, the shore leave will also be revoked, and the bar will be take-out only.

MSC is asking employees to wear their masks correctly; maintain the social distance required by the protocol; wash hands often, especially before eating; respect the max capacity of people inside the elevators and the crew areas (gym/bar/smoking area).
