AIDA Cruises offers all cruise fans the chance to say goodbye to its AIDAaura ship with extraordinary travel offers.

After 20+ years in service, the ship is leaving the fleet in September 2023.

The farewell season of AIDAaura will commence on January 9th, 2023, in Cape Town (South Africa) with the first of four 14-day sailings to South Africa & Namibia.

On March 6th, 2023, the 27-day voyage from South Africa to Hamburg (Germany), via Namibia, Cape Verde Islands, and the Canaries, as well as Portugal and Spain, will set sail from the metropolis on the Cape of Good Hope.

In April, further highlight voyages include the “Great Norway Round Trip” to the North Cape (Nordkapp) over Easter or the 2 new 7-day sailings with AIDAaura from/to Hamburg (Germany) to Norway’s fjords and Scotland. These can be booked as a 14-day cruise.

From mid-May through to early July 2023, AIDA passengers are invited to visit legendary places, historic cities, or impressive landscapes on a variety of voyages from/to Hamburg to the rivers in Western Europe, Ireland, Great Britain, or France. Other highlight destinations include Saint-Malo in France, Edinburgh/Loch Ness close to Invergordon (Scotland), Falmouth (southern England), or the Isle of Skye, the Outer Hebrides, and the Orkney Islands.

In July & August 2023, the vessel is scheduled to sail from Hamburg and Bremerhaven (Bremen) on 21-day voyages to Iceland & Greenland with passages along the glaciers/icebergs in Prins-Christian-Sund/Disko Bay.

Aura’s last cruise for AIDA features inland/river cruising - on the Thames in the UK (to Tilbury-London), the Seine in France (to Rouen) and Scheldt in Belgium (to Antwerp).

Since her naming ceremony on April 12th, 2003, in Warnemunde (Germany), the ship has visited the world's most beautiful destinations on 800+ voyages. In her premiere season 2003-2004, AIDAaura was the official German Olympic vessel during the Summer Games in Athens-Piraeus (Greece) and headed for destinations in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and Central America.

Further highlights were the AIDAselection cruises to Mauritius and Seychelles, to the Orient, India, and Greenland, to Iceland/as far as the Arctic Circle to Spitsbergen. As part of AIDAaura's world cruise in winter 2018-2019, guests visited 41 destinations on 4 continents in 117 days.
