Carnival Liberty has returned to service from New Orleans (Louisiana USA) after completing a comprehensive drydock refurbishment that introduced numerous enhancements to the vessel.

Joining its sistership Carnival Valor, which returned with similar upgrades, Liberty now embarks on week-long Caribbean voyages beginning mid‑July.

The ship’s updates include a newly installed Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, dedicated to U.S. military personnel and their families, alongside an expanded WaterWorks aqua park featuring fresh waterslides and a newly added mini-golf course.

Its spa has been fully revitalized as the Cloud9 Spa—now boasting refreshed décor, upgraded beauty stations, a new Elemis Boutique, updated fitness centre, and new steam rooms and saunas.

Additional improvements encompass a redesigned casino with more slot machines and table games, modernised youth areas at Camp Ocean, Club O2, and the arcade, as well as a new Dream Studio for photo sessions and a centralised Carnival Adventures desk for excursions.

The vessel also features refreshed retail spaces, including a new High Spirits liquor store.

Accessibility upgrades were a key focus, with widened pathways and enhanced amenities across public areas and select cabins.

Carnival Liberty resumes regular 7-night Port NOLA roundtrip itineraries to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas, including an inaugural call on CCL-Carnival’s private destination Celebration Key on July 23rd.
