Oceania Cruises has announced the introduction of a new wine-focused dining program in partnership with Gérard Bertrand, the acclaimed French winemaker who owns or manages 13 estates in Languedoc-Roussillon (coastal region) in southern France.

The Gérard Bertrand Food and Wine Pairing Experience debuted on the newbuild Allura on July 18th, 2025, marking the ship’s maiden voyage, with rollout to Vista  (September 2025) and further expansion to Marina and Riviera  (in 2026).

The program centres on a 6-course gourmet menu curated in tandem with Bertrand’s biodynamic and sustainably produced wines, each course paired to highlight the nuanced characteristics of individual varietals from the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The experience is hosted in the ship's French specialty restaurant  Jacques (max capacity 40 guests per seating) ensuring an intimate and educational dining environment.

Courses include refined dishes such as potato fritters with Ossetra caviar, duck and foie gras pâté, and braised beef short rib, culminating in a Callebaut gold chocolate dessert. Wine selections span Bertrand’s flagship labels, including the ‘Clos du Temple’ rosé and the 1975 Les Vignerons de Maury Tuile Vieille Reserve. Each wine serves as a regional expression of Bertrand’s sustainable winemaking philosophy, which Oceania aligns with through its culinary programming and destination focus.

The experience is priced at US$175 per person, excluding gratuities, and is offered on select days per voyage. It joins Oceania’s existing portfolio of culinary events, including the Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon pairings, and adds further depth to its gastronomic programming at sea. The cruise line continues to prioritise experiential enrichment in the luxury sector, offering guests a means to engage with regional culture through food, wine, and intimate culinary storytelling.
