Ferry sailings altered near Isle of Man due to strong winds

Ferry services between the Isle of Man and north-western England have been disrupted as a result of strong winds, according to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

The morning sailing from Douglas to Heysham and the afternoon return trip to Heysham have been cancelled.

The flagship vessel Manxman departed earlier than scheduled, with its evening sailing moved forward by nearly three hours to 05:00 p.m. BST.

Additionally, the 03:00 p.m. BST fast-craft Manannan sailing to Liverpool, and its return journey to Douglas, have been cancelled.

The company has indicated that further sailings may be affected into the next day (Tuesday, September 16th, 2025), pending worsening weather. Passengers are advised to consult the Steam Packet’s sailing status page for updates.
