Explora Journeys has opened reservations for its Summer 2028 Journeys Collection, marking a significant stage in the expansion of the brand with the introduction of EXPLORA VI. Scheduled to enter service in August 2028, the vessel will complete the company’s planned 6-ship fleet, bringing all units into simultaneous global deployment for the first time.

The programme spans 178 destinations across 27 countries and reflects a broader expansion of the operator’s international itinerary network. Sailings will cover the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska and the North American East Coast, while also incorporating overnight stays in ports such as New York City, Reykjavik and Istanbul. The collection further includes inaugural calls to destinations including KorĨula and the Faroe Islands, alongside a number of extended port departures intended to provide longer shoreside access.

EXPLORA I will operate in the Mediterranean between April and October 2028, serving destinations across the Aegean and Adriatic regions, including the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Turkish coastline. The programme includes a late departure from Mykonos and an overnight call in Istanbul.

EXPLORA II is scheduled to sail itineraries in the Western Mediterranean, North Africa and along the French and Italian Rivieras. Operating between April and October, the vessel will call at 36 destinations across Iberia and the Atlantic approaches, including Madeira, with overnight stays in Lisbon and late departures from ports including Ibiza, Capri and Casablanca.

EXPLORA III will return to Alaska from May through September, operating voyages across destinations in the United States and Canada. The itineraries include transits through the Inside Passage and the Gulf of Alaska toward Hubbard Glacier, together with calls at ports including Juneau and Skagway, as well as smaller communities such as Wrangell and Klawock.

EXPLORA IV is scheduled for Northern Europe and Baltic Sea deployment between May and October, serving 51 destinations across 15 countries. The programme includes overnight stays in Amsterdam and Stockholm, together with inaugural calls at Runavík in the Faroe Islands and Djúpivogur in Iceland.

EXPLORA V will sail the Baltic Sea, Norwegian fjords and North Atlantic between May and September before continuing toward Iceland and Greenland. Later in the season, the vessel will reposition to the North American Eastern Seaboard during the autumn period, incorporating overnight calls in New York City and Quebec City, together with extended departures from Halifax and Boston.

The debut deployment of EXPLORA VI, scheduled between August and November 2028, will focus on Mediterranean and Adriatic itineraries across 13 voyages. The vessel’s inaugural sailing is planned from Rome to Barcelona, followed by itineraries incorporating Sicily, Sardinia and the French Riviera. During October and November, the ship will also operate in the Adriatic, including calls at Trogir, Dubrovnik and the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.

Explora Journeys stated that the opening of sales for the collection represented a milestone year for the brand, as the completion of the fleet would allow wider geographical deployment and increased itinerary variety across multiple cruising regions. The company also indicated that its Early Booking Benefit programme remains available for guests reserving voyages in advance, offering preferred fares and priority access to suite selections aboard EXPLORA VI.
