Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced the return of its themed short-cruise concept, Savoir-Vivre on the Côte d’Azur – with Gatsby Nights at Sea, following strong demand and positive guest response to the inaugural voyage. The 4-night itinerary will be operated by the luxury vessel EUROPA from 27 to 31 May 2027, combining ports along the Côte d’Azur, the Italian Riviera and Corsica with an onboard programme inspired by the elegance and social atmosphere of the 1920s.

The voyage will call at Portofino, Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Saint-Florent, offering guests a route through some of the Mediterranean’s most established yachting and leisure destinations. An extended stay in Cannes until midnight is planned, providing additional time for independent exploration ashore.

According to the company, the decision to repeat the concept was driven by the success of the 2026 sailing. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises indicated that guests had responded particularly well to the combination of itinerary, onboard atmosphere and themed entertainment, encouraging the line to reintroduce the format for the following year.

A central feature of the voyage will once again be the “Gatsby Nights” event, during which a section of EUROPA will be transformed into a venue inspired by the Roaring Twenties. The programme is designed to recreate elements associated with the period through music, décor, cuisine and entertainment, presenting a contemporary interpretation of the era rather than a traditional cruise programme.

The itinerary will be operated by the 400-guest EUROPA, whose limited passenger capacity allows access to smaller ports and coastal destinations that are less accessible to larger cruise ships. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises noted that the vessel’s size supports a more flexible approach to route planning while maintaining a high crew-to-guest ratio and an emphasis on personalised service.

The company described the return of Gatsby Nights at Sea as part of its broader strategy of developing themed voyages that combine destination experiences with curated cultural and lifestyle programmes, creating a more immersive travel experience both at sea and ashore.
