Woman in Labor Medevaced from Carnival Cruise Ship

A pregnant woman has been medevaced from a Carnival Cruise Line's ship, approx 109 mi southwest of Key West on Friday, August 31. 

The 36-year-old woman has been rescued by Coast Guards from Carnival Glory after she went into labor while aboard.

The watchstanders diverted CG Air Station MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew who, after arriving on the scene, hoisted the patient and transported the woman to local emergency medical services. The passenger was then taken to Lower Keys Medical Center.
