Port Southampton Voted Best UK Port

Port of Southampton was voted the best UK port in British Cruise Awards 2018.

The award, which was sponsored by Marella Cruises, was presented by line's Managing Director, Chris Hackney, at an official ceremony held at House of Lords.

Currently in their 8th year, British Cruise Awards are considered the most prestigious consumer awards celebrating the best of cruise industry. These awards are run by Cruise International, officially the best-selling consumer cruise magazine in the UK and part of award-winning Chelsea Magazine Company.

It is the 2nd year running that the port of Southampton has been honoured this way. The award was received by Rebekah Keeler (ABP Southampton Commercial Manager) and Liz Stokes (Head of Landside Operations) on behalf of the cruise port.

During August 2018, Southampton's port community together with the city council and cruise partners, pulled out all the calls to welcome more than 60 cruise visits bringing around 340,000 passengers along with a multi-million pound boost to local economy.
