   February 10, 2022 ,   Cruise Industry

On April 9, 2022, world-famous athlete Kristina Vogel will serve as godmother and christen AIDA fleet's newest boat AIDAcosma in Hamburg (Germany).

Cosma is AIDA's second LNG-powered vessel (with engines running on liquefied natural gas) - after AIDAnova (2018-built). At the godmother's side is the ship's Master - Captain Vincent Cofalka.

Passengers on the 14-day "christening voyage" (April 9-23, 2022, roundtrip from Hamburg to Palma de Mallorca/ Balearic Spain) can look forward to a unique vacation. Following the exclusive naming ceremony, AIDAcosma departs at ~11 PM and first does a lap of honor in front of the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie. The liner then sets course for the western Mediterranean. During the 2-week voyage (over the Easter holidays), tourists will have ample opportunities to discover the new ship and enjoy a special onboard program that is full of highlights.
