Milford Haven is a port town in southwestern Wales. (Pembrokeshire county). The port is located between Guernsey (Channel Islands) and Liverpool (England). It is on the north side of Milford Haven Waterway estuary, which forms a natural harbour waterway.

The town was founded in 1790 and planned with a grid pattern. By 1800, it developed as a British Royal Navy dockyard and it remained such until in 1814 when the dockyard was moved to Pembroke. Afterwards it became a commercial dock, and the focus moved in the 1960s, following the construction of oil refinery by Esso Company, to logistics for liquid gas and fuel oil.

By 2010 the seaport became UK's 4th largest in terms of tonnage and plays an important role in the energy sector of the country with several oil refineries and one of the world's largest LNG terminals. Milford Haven is Pembrokeshire's 2nd largest town (after Haverfordwest). It has population around 13,000. As a local government community, it takes in the town of Milford and its suburbs, including Liddeston, Steynton, Hakin and Hubberston.

The natural Milford Haven Harbour was known as safe anchorage and was used for several historical military operations. Campaigns conducted from here included part of the Invasion of Ireland by Henry II (1171) and Cromwell's attack on Ireland (1649). In 1485, Henry VII landed here before heading to England.

During season 2017, the cruise port had scheduled 5 ship calls and handled over 2,000 passengers. The season-opening visit was by the HAL Holland America ship Prinsendam (first visit since 2015). The Milford Haven call is nestled between Guernsey and Liverpool as part of her north European cruise.

Among the most booked cruise excursions in Milford Haven are Caldey Island, Carew Castle, Tenby (walled seaside town), St Davids (on River Alun), the medieval Pembroke Castle, the National Botanic Garden of Wales (near Llanarthney, Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire). For cruise ship tourists staying in the town, popular attractions are the Milford Museum and the shops and eateries at the yacht marina.
