Nottoway House has three floors, 64 rooms, 165 doors, 200 windows, large brass-crystal chandeliers, porcelain doorknobs, White Ballroom (columns, hand-cast archways), 2 fireplaces (with hand-carved white marble mantles), Ancestral Hall (family parlor), gentleman's study, stair hall, formal dining room, numerous bedrooms, gallery (with Mississippi River view), music room (displaying 19th-century instruments), Wicker Room (with authentic furniture), various antique furniture.

Most windows also double as doors. The principal rooms are on the second floor. The entrance hall runs the entire length of the building. The basement was transformed into a restaurant and a small museum about the plantation's original owner (Randolph family). Originally, first-floor basement held laundry room, dairy room, wine cellar, servants' living quarters, 10-pin bowling alley (for children).
