Schweich is a Moselle River cruise port and city in Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate state (Trier-Saarburg district) with population around 8,000. The closest big city is Trier, located ~15 km/~10 mi to the southwest (~20 min drive distance via roads B49 and A602) or ~10 km/~6 mi along the river.

Schweich is in the Moselle wine region and close to the Germany-Luxembourg border. The distance to Luxembourg City is ~80 km / ~50 mi (to the west).

As a cruise port, Schweich is often visited by Phoenix Reisen's ships. The company also offers daily bus tours and excursions to Trier.

The town (as Soiacum) was established by the Romans. It was awarded city rights in 1984. Schweich was ruled by the Imperial Abbey of Prum (762-1576), which owned a large estate in the town.

Schweich's main tourist attractions include the Fahrturm (old ferry tower at the Schweich Marina, in the past time serving ferries on the Trier-Koblenz route), Martin von Tours Kirche (St Martin Church), the St George's Chapel), Stefan-Andres Brunnen (healing fountain), Molitorsmuhle (19th century mill), Niederprumer Hof (Prum Abbey estate), a Jewish synagogue (in downtown), Judischer Friedhof (Jewish cemetery), Hisgenhaus, Geibenhaus, the Wallsee-Eck park.
