Veere is a port town on Walcheren Island (Zeeland province, southwestern Netherlands) with population around 22,000. Port's locode is EEVEE.

Veere DI (translated from Dutch as "ferry") was founded in 1281 by Wolfert I van Borselen (1245-1299) as ferry port. It received town status in 1335. The current municipality was last expanded in 1997 by adding several neighboring towns.

The region is annually visited by around 4 million tourists. Main attractions include Walcheren island's beaches and yacht marinas. Storm Surge Barrier on Oosterschelde (Eastern Scheldt River estuary, currently Holland's largest national park) is Zeeland's most popular travel destination. Scoutcentrum Zeeland (camping site in Veer) attracts thousands of international scout travelers.
