Winona MN is a Mississippi River cruise port and town in Winona County (Minnesota USAA) with population around 30,000. The best-known landmark (and Minnesota's most famous) is the Sugar Loaf bluff on the river (topped by a huge limestone rock) which overlooks the town. The 500 ft / 150 m high rock pinnacle was artificially created (by quarrying in late-19th century) and rises 85 ft / 26 m above the bluff.

As cruise port, Winona MN is included in the schedule of American Queen Voyages/Steamboat Company (AQSC)-owned paddlewheel riverboats American Duchess and American Queen. Next table shows AQSC's 14-night southbound itinerary from Red Wing to New Orleans. Prices in 2020 started at ~USD $4500-5700 pp (double-occupancy balcony cabin rates) depending on ship and departure date.
