Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
Celestyal Crystal deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Scrapped Cruise Ships deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Celestyal Crystal cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Celestyal Crystal staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
The cruise ship Celestyal Crystal (built in 1980, formerly known as "Louis Cristal", last refurbished in 2016, scrapped in 2025) was operated by Louis/Celestyal Cruises from 2011 to 2023. In March 2025, the vessel was sold to a UAE-based company and renamed "New Dawn." In May, the new owner sold her for scrapping.
The Celestyal Crystal deck plan featured a total of 476 staterooms accommodating 952 passengers (maximum capacity 1452), served by 406 crew. The ship had 10 decks (9 accessible to passengers, 6 with cabins), 3 restaurants, 6 lounges and bars, 1 swimming pool, 1 jacuzzi (outdoor whirlpool), and 4 elevators (2 servicing all decks).
Reflecting an earlier era of cruising, the ship’s interior included wide corridors, solid cabin doors, and many staterooms with large picture windows framed in thick metal. Suite balconies were triangular-shaped (cut from the superstructure rather than extending outward) and featured polished mahogany banisters.
Celestyal Crystal Deck Plan Changes – 2015 Refurbishment Review
The following deck plan changes were made during the ship’s 2015 drydock refurbishment (conducted in Piraeus-Athens, Greece) in November–December:
Twenty-six new balconies were added to oceanview staterooms on Deck 6, and another 17 were added to outside cabins on Deck 7. These 43 new balcony cabins introduced the Balcony Junior Suite (SBJ) category to the brand. In addition to these, the ship also featured 8 Balcony Suites (SB) and 2 Grand Suites (SG). Each new veranda extended 1.4 m (4.5 ft) from the ship's bulkhead and measured between 2.8–5.8 m (9–19 ft) in length.
Grand Suite balconies were extended and refurbished. A total of 21 suites and 227 oceanview staterooms underwent extensive renovation and redecoration.
All public areas were also upgraded and renovated. Hotel amenities were improved, and general maintenance work was carried out throughout the vessel.
