Halifax (Nova Scotia Canada) welcomes the world's 4th largest cruise ship - Royal Caribbean's Oasis OTS

The world's 4th largest cruise ship, RCI-Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, arrived at Port Halifax (Nova Scotia Canada) Tuesday morning, June 7.

The 360-meter, 226,838-GT-ton vessel can carry 5600 people, plus the crew, making her the largest cruise ship to call on Halifax to date.

Oasis OTS has 17 decks, 2796 staterooms, a water park, a basketball court, a zipline, and 30-foot diving platforms.

The ship was scheduled to leave Halifax at 6 pm Tuesday. Oasis OTS is expected to dock in Saint John NB (New Brunswick Canada) at ~9:20 am Wednesday, June 8.

Halifax Canada welcomed its first cruise ship of the season as well as the first ship following a 2-year hiatus, due to the COVID crisis, on April 26.

According to the Port of Halifax, the cruise industry pumps US$170+ million into the local economy.
