Fred. Olsen's ship ms Balmoral is the first of the fleet’s 3 ships to set sail on a 2023 grand voyage.
The vessel recently arrived in Bermuda after leaving Portsmouth UK on January 5th for a 78-night ‘Exploration of South America and the Antarctic’ voyage.
During South America's circumnavigation, ms Balmoral will be visiting new destinations including Peru, Uruguay, Chile, and Brazil, as well as for the first time in the history of Fred Olsen, the Antarctic.
Vacationers will have the chance to dance in Buenos Aires, the birthplace of the Tango, spend time with a Gaucho cowboy on ranches in Uruguay/Argentina, and on the call in Port Stanley/East Falkland Island will be joined by war veteran Simon Weston, who will share his experiences in the Falkland Islands UK.
In February, ms Borealis is scheduled to set sail on an ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ voyage, with opportunities to sail from either Southampton or Liverpool UK, which will follow in the footsteps of fictional explorer Phileas Fogg. They will be able to see Japan’s cherry blossoms or visit the tomb of Tutankhamun on the 100th anniversary of its opening.
Two shorter sailings are offered - a 26-night from Southampton to Singapore where passengers can sail the world-famous Suez Canal and see the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai or a 53-night from Singapore to Southampton UK, with chances to enjoy farmers’ markets in Hawaii, street food and architecture in Hong Kong and Samurai heritage at Fukuoka and Osaka Castle in Japan.
In November, ms Bolette is scheduled to set sail on a 93-night ‘The Intrepid Beauty of Africa and the Indian Ocean' voyage, offering 4 days in Cape Town (South Africa), visiting Goan spice & tea plantations in India, or climbing the sand dunes of the oldest desert in the world Namib.
