Marella Cruises has released its 2027 summer schedule, which includes new ports of call and the return of familiar itineraries in the Mediterranean. The Discovery 2 will sail its “Ionian Shores” route from Dubrovnik beginning May 6th, 2027, marking the line’s first visit to Sarandë in Albania and featuring a new call at Syracuse, Italy.
The Explorer 2 will return to Malaga, Spain, as its homeport for the first time in nearly a decade, commencing sailings on May 12th. Its itineraries will include “Spirit of Spain,” which will return to Mahón in Menorca, and “Spanish Sights,” which revisits Castellón.
Other ships in the fleet will also deploy from strategic Mediterranean bases: Discovery and Voyager will be based at Palma, Mallorca, while Explorer will operate out of Corfu.
In addition to new ports, Marella has expanded its Cruise & Stay offer by adding 29 hotels across Majorca, Croatia, Corfu, and Spain, supplementing the 121 properties already available. The programme will be supported by departures from 21 UK and Ireland airports.
The itineraries are now available for booking, with tickets going on sale October 16th, 2025.
