Azamara has unveiled its Winter 2027–2028 programme, extending from October 16th, 2027 through April 28th, 2028, featuring 87 voyages designed to deepen guest engagement with each destination. The season will include more than 150 late departures and 60 overnight stays, marking the highest number of extended port calls in the company’s history.

The itineraries reflect Azamara’s emphasis on destination immersion, offering travellers additional time to explore ashore and experience local culture and nightlife. Company representatives indicated that the season was developed to provide a more flexible cruising experience, with opportunities for longer visits and regional connections.

The deployment introduces 6 new ports of call—Sao Francisco do Sul and Paranaguá in Brazil, Fraser Island and Gladstone in Australia, Bimini in the Bahamas, and Algiers in Algeria. Each addition expands Azamara’s global footprint, from the Atlantic coasts of South America and North Africa to the coral-fringed waters of the South Pacific.

Egypt will feature prominently in the upcoming season, with itineraries operating during the cooler months from October to February. Extended stays in Luxor and Alexandria will allow for in-depth exploration of the country’s historic and cultural landmarks.

Azamara has also designed 30 pre-arranged back-to-back (B2B) options, enabling guests to combine consecutive voyages into extended journeys. One example links a 14-night Vietnam & Hong Kong sailing with a 14-night Japan Intensive itinerary, creating a 28-night voyage encompassing 20 ports across East Asia.

Several ports not visited in recent years will reappear on the schedule, including Porto Belo and Rio Grande in Brazil, Sandakan in Malaysia, New Orleans in the United States, and Coron in the Philippines.

The 2027–2028 season reaffirms Azamara’s positioning within the small-ship market, combining destination-focused itineraries with longer port durations and flexible voyage options. Early bookings will include savings of 30% and onboard benefits through the line’s “Always Azamara” programme.
