Sea Cloud Cruises unveils 2027–March 2028 sailing program

Sea Cloud Cruises has released its sailing program covering the period from 2027 through March 2028, presenting a series of voyages aboard the tall ships Sea Cloud Spirit and Sea Cloud II. The newly issued brochure outlines itineraries across the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the coasts of Northern Europe. Passengers reserving their voyages before May 30th, 2026, are offered a reduction of 30% together with an onboard credit of US$300 per person.

The forthcoming season continues the company’s focus on routes suited to traditional sailing vessels, linking historic ports and coastal regions where a smaller ship may call with relative ease. Among the voyages are departures from Dublin exploring the waters of Ireland and Scotland, together with itineraries along the French Atlantic coast and the islands of Sardinia, Corsica and Elba. Additional passages connect Malta with ports along the Amalfi Coast and the Côte d’Azur, while Caribbean sailings in early 2028 include a route between Barbados and Antigua.

In remarks accompanying the release of the program, the leadership of Sea Cloud Cruises North America observed that voyages undertaken aboard a tall ship allow destinations to be approached in a more measured manner than on larger vessels. It was suggested that such passages permit travelers not merely to visit a region but to experience it at the pace traditionally associated with sailing.

Several of the highlighted itineraries are scheduled aboard Sea Cloud Spirit, the company’s modern 3-masted sailing vessel. One voyage, from May 28th to June 4th, 2027, follows the Atlantic coast of France between Bilbao and Honfleur with an emphasis on regional cuisine and artistic heritage. Later in the summer, a round-trip departure from Dublin between June 28th and July 6th explores the coasts of Ireland and Scotland. Another passage from July 6th to July 12th links Dublin with Honfleur through ports such as Cobh, Tresco, Dartmouth and Guernsey. In the Mediterranean, an August 16th–24th itinerary visits Sardinia, Corsica and Elba, tracing a route through several of the principal islands of the western basin. The winter program concludes with a Caribbean voyage from Barbados to Antigua between March 7th and March 14th, 2028, including calls at islands such as St. Lucia, Grenada and Dominica.

Parallel voyages are planned for Sea Cloud II, a 3-masted motor sailing ship accommodating fewer than one hundred passengers and combining the character of a traditional square-rigger with modern amenities. Built in 2001 and carrying approximately 94 guests, the vessel represents a contemporary interpretation of the classic sailing yacht.

Among the voyages scheduled for this vessel are a 10-day sailing from August 20th to August 30th, 2027, notable for its approach to Venice under sail, and another itinerary departing Valletta on October 6th and concluding in Nice on October 16th. That passage traces a route through parts of the central Mediterranean, including Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and the island of Elba before reaching the French Riviera.
