The newest Princess Cruises' Royal-Class liner Sky Princess set sail on the Mediterranean and Adriatic inaugural cruise from Piraeus-Athens (Greece) to Barcelona (Spain) on Sunday, October 20.
The maiden voyage started an itinerary program in Southern Europe offering Mediterranean cruises in Fall 2019 before the Transatlantic repositioning (RepositionCruises.com) to the USA's homeport Fort Lauderdale FL (starts December 1) for Caribbean roundtrips.
It is the first Princess MedallionClass cruise ship, according to the company. The MedallionClass boasts OceanMedallion wearable devices for all passengers that can be used as a key, for payment and more.
Sky Princess can accommodate up to 3,660 passengers and has features similar to Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, and Royal Princess, but adds amenities like more Jacuzzis and a bigger adults-only area.
