Burgas (aka Bourgas) is a Black Sea cruise port, Bulgaria's 2nd-largest port city (after Varna) and the country's 4th-largest city (after Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna) with population around 230,000. The city is also an important industrial, cultural and tourist center.
Port Burgas (along with Varna) is a MedCruise member. Other members in the Black Sea regions are also Odessa Ukraine, Constanta Romania, and Turkey's Istanbul and Trabzon.
The city is surrounded by Burgas Lakes and situated at the westernmost point of Black Sea, at the big Burgas Bay. Lukoil Neftochim Burgas is currently the largest oil refinery located in southeastern Europe and the biggest industrial enterprise.
The city is served by Burgas Airport (Bulgaria's second-largest - after Sofia) which has the 4th-longest runway on the Balkans - after Athens Greece, Sofia and Belgrade Serbia.

In 2020-2021 were conducted significant infrastructure developments at the Port's Congress Expo Center. The facility is on 6 levels and features a multifunctional hall (max capacity 500 people), office space, cabinets (for scientific researches). Congress Expo Center is open the whole year-round and used as cruise terminal. During no-cruise days, it is used for housing exhibitions, musical concerts, various educational events. Congress Expo Center is near Maritime Station and also in close proximity to Magazia 1 (the port's second passenger terminal).
The 2021-opened for public access Lighthouse Tower also doubles as a visitors center. It has two floors/halls inside - first floor (with old photographs related to the port's history) and second floor (with displayed drawings related to the Port's construction in the period 1895-1912).

Port Burags has 2 modern berths that can accommodate cruise ships with max draft 10 m (33 ft). The main passenger terminal has a building sized 3000 m2 (32300 ft2). A second passenger terminal additionally has tourist facilities (shopping center, restaurants, event spaces).
