Como is a Lake Como (Adda River) cruise port and city in Italy's in Lombardy region (northwestern Italy) with population around 85,000. The town is located on Lake Como (aka Lario) southwestern shore. Adda River (a Po River tributary) flows through the lake.
Town's proximity to Lake Lario and the Alps Mountain make it a very popular vacation travel destination for both domestic and interational tourists. The city also attracts travelers with its numerous artworks, museums, medieval architecture (churches, palaces) and scenery (nature parks and gardens). The nearest airports with regularly scheduled international flights are in Milano (Malpensa, Linate), Bergamo (Orio al Serio) and Lugano (Switzerland). Orio al Serio Airport (Bergamo) is approx 90-min by car (2 hours by train).
