Győr-Gönyű Port is a Danube River cruise port/city in Hungary's Győr-Moson-Sopron County. The city of Győr is accessed from the port of Gönyű via bus transfers from the cruise ships. The port is on the Danube, near the mouth of the tributary Mosoni-Danube, approximately 12 km/8 mi from Győr (population around 125,000) and ~3 km/2 mi from the village of Gönyű (population around 3000).
The river port occupies a large, strategically positioned site with connections to road, rail, and inland waterway transport. It is one of Hungary's major public Danube ports and a significant intermodal freight hub. The port's primary purpose is commercial logistics, not passenger tourism. Its infrastructure is designed around freight handling and transport connections rather than the visitor facilities associated with river cruises.
Gönyű is the relevant port location for cruise itineraries marketed as visits to Győr. Passengers visiting Győr generally need a bus or other organised transfer between the port and the historic downtown.
As a cruise port, Győr-Gonyú is included in the 10-day/9-night "Treasures of the Danube" itinerary offered by Viking. The route sails between Passau and Budapest (or vice versa), visiting destinations in 4 countries: Germany (Passau), Austria (Vienna, Linz), Slovakia (Bratislava), and Hungary (Budapest), and featuring scenic cruising of the Danube Bend (Gyor) and Wachau Valley (Grein).
Other major river cruise lines visiting Győr-Gonyú include AmaWaterways and Celebrity.
The next table shows Celebrity's 7-night Danube itinerary introduced in 2027.

Gyor is a cultural destination with a compact, walkable historic downtown popular for its Baroque architecture and a substantial selection of historic sights, churches, museums, cafes, and riverside scenery. The city's top attractions for cruise tourists include Széchenyi Square and the Old Town (lined with ornate facades, historic townhouses, churches and cafes), Győr Basilica and Káptalan Hill (the medieval ecclesiastical quarter and the Basilica of the Assumption, famous for its reliquary of Saint Ladislaus), Bishop's Castle and its lookout tower (the remains of the city's fortifications and panoramic views over the old town and surrounding rivers), Radó Island and the river promenades (paths, bridges and waterside sites from sightseeing), and the City Hall and Baross Gábor Street (the monumental neo-Baroque City Hall and the city's main pedestrian shopping street lined with cafes, bakeries and local shops).
On longer cruise shore excursions is visited the Pannonhalma Archabbey, a UNESCO-listed site with historic buildings, gardens and vineyards.
