Halki Island (aka Chalki) is the smallest of Greece's Dodecanese Islands (southern Aegean Sea), located approx 6 km (4 mi) west of Rhodes Island. Chalki has a total land area approx 27 km2 (11 mi2), coastline length approx 34 km (21 mi), highest elevation 593 m (1950 ft) and population under 500 (permanent) all of whom live in Chorio Emborio (island's only settlement / port village).
Regularly scheduled ferries connect Chalki with Rhodes. The route is operated by ANEK Lines (3 weekly crossings, travel time ~2 hours) and Dodekanisos Seaways (2 weekly crossings, travel time ~1 hour).
As cruise port, Chalki Island was first included in the Mediterranean 2021 schedule of the 5-mast sailing cruise ship Royal Clipper (2000-built). Next table shows the 7-day itinerary (roundtrip from Athens) priced from ~USD 5600 pp.
