Klawock (aka Lawaak) is a port town on the central-western coast of Prince of Wales Island (Alaska USA), with population under 1000. Klawock is approx 7 mi (11 km) from Craig (Prince of Wales Island's largest settlement) and approx 56 mi (90 km) from Ketchikan (Revillagigedo Island). Prince of Wales Island AK's total population is ~4000.

Klawock Harbor (port locode USKLW) is often used as a homeport for cruises and boat tours (including fishing trips and wildlife viewing excursions) to the nearby bays, inlets, and neighboring islands. Regularly scheduled ferries connect Klawock with Ketchikan (via Hollis) and also with Wrangell/Wrangell Island and Petersburg/Mitkof Island (via Coffman Cove).

In May 2022, was announced that the joint venture company Na-Dena LLC (50-50 owned by "Doyon Ltd" and "Huna Totem Corporation") and "Klawock Heenya Corporation" - all of which are Alaska Native corporations - start a cruise port development project for building dedicated to cruise ships facilities in Klawock. The new terminal was scheduled for official inauguration on May 24, 2023, with the arrival of the Oceania Regatta ship. On May 7, 2024, Klawock was officially inaugurated as a cruise port with the arrival of the Seabourn Odyssey ship.

Similarly to Klawock, Na-Dena developed the cruise port in Hoonah (Icy Strait Point). Klawock cruise port is on Klawock Island and covers total area 16 acres (6,5 hectares). Port's location makes it perfect for inclusion in both northbound and southbound Alaskan itineraries. A bridge connects Klawock Island to mainland Prince of Wales Island and its paved roads linking to other towns and popular tourist destinations.

Klawock Airport is approx 4 km / 2 mi northeast of downtown. This is Prince of Wales Island's only airport serving regularly scheduled (daily) flights to Ketchikan (by Island Air Express) as well as small planes linking with Craig. Alaska Seaplanes link with Juneau and Sitka (Baranof Island).

Klawock's current economy is heavily based on fishing (including Alaska's oldest salmon fish hatchery/1878-opened), logging and tourism. Popular tourist attractions include the summer festival "Celebration by the Sea" and the Totem Park (with 21 replica totem poles/wooden pillars masterfully carved with symbols and figures) located on the hill above the harbor. Community- and tourism-related facilities and amenities include Bank, ATM, City Police, Restaurant, Grocery Store, Liquor Store, Gas Station, RV Park, Emergency Medical Clinic, Fish Smokery.

Klawock was used by the indigenous Tlingit/Heenya Kwaan people as a summer fishing camp. The camp was first visited by the Russians in 1853. The town was officially founded in 1868 as a trading post and incorporated as a city in 1934. In 1878 was opened Alaska's first cannery, in 1882 - a Post Office, in 1939 - the Town Hall.
