Ordas offers a peaceful Danube landscape and the opportunity to experience rural Hungary's everyday life. Shore excursions from the village visit Kalocsa, Lake Szelid, and the surrounding countryside. A guided walking tour through Ordas visits the Reformed Church (an 18th-century Calvinist church) and the local heritage house. The village is known for traditional agriculture (such as spice paprika). Danube riverbank and countryside around Ordas are appreciated for their open views, floodplain scenery, and fishing opportunities.
The famous Bakodpuszta Horse Farm (located only ~6 km/4 mi from Ordas) is where tourists can enjoy the Puszta horse shows. Lake Szelid (near Dunapataj) is a shallow lake known for its recreational shoreline, summer bathing and relaxed atmosphere. However, Kalocsa remains the strongest nearby culture-themed shore excursion. However, these destinations are accessed via bus transfers organized by the cruise company.
