Ouges is a Burgundy Canal cruise port and a large village in France's La Cote-d'Or department (Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region) with population around 1,500. Ouges is on Canal de Bourgogne (Burgundy Canal) in central-eastern France. Constructed between 1775-1832, Burgundy Canal connects Yonne River (at Migennes) with Saone River (at Saint-Jean-de-Losne).
A train station in Ouges serves SNCF's railway line that links Dijon (Cote-d'Or) with Saint-Amour (Jura). The railroad serves TGV trains travelling on LGV Sud-Est (high-speed line) that links directly Paris with Lyon and Marseille (Mediterranean Sea).

The cruise barge actually docks in Petit-Ouges (small village to the south-southeast) where cruisers can visit a mini-museum (locks-themed, also displaying Burgundy Canal-themed with photos and postcards). From Petit-Ouges, tourists can also do hiking along the 4-km long "Path of the Three Wash Houses".
