Phnom Penh is a Mekong River cruise port, capital and largest city in Cambodia, with population over 1,5 million (metro over 4,2 million). It is located in south-central Cambodia, fully surrounded by Kandal Province. The municipality is on 3 rivers - Tonle Sap, Mekong and Bassac. The surrounding areas are typical flood plains, and during monsoon season floods are common as the river often overflows its banks.

Once called the "Pearl of Asia", Phnom Penh City was Indochina's most beautiful French-built city. Together with Sihanoukville and Siem Reap, these are Cambodia's most significant travel destinations for both domestic and international tourists. The city was established in 1434. Among its most popular attractions are the French colonial buildings along its grand boulevards. All cruisetour itineraries between Siem Reap and Phnom Pehn cross through Tonle Sap Lake.
Being the country's capital city, Phnom Penh is also its economic and political center. The city's economy is booming with new hotels, restaurants, bars, skyscrapers, residential buildings. The largest industries are clothing, trading, real estate, tourism, retail shopping, Among the most visited by tourists places are Sisowath Quay (Tonle Sap River) lined up with restaurants, bars and premium hotels.
The urban development Camko City is an expansion project for building new infrastructure to cope with Phnom Penh's growing population and economy. The project includes building new skyscrapers, roads, river canals, railway system (connecting Camko City with Phnom Penh). Among the already built facilities are International City, De Castle Royal Condominium, International Finance Complex, Gold Tower 42 (32-storey), OCIC Tower (30-storey), River Palace, Vattanac Capital Tower (39-storey), Aeon Mall, Sorya Shopping Center, City Mall, Parkson Mall.
