Other tourist attractions include the shrines Kamayama, Hinokuma, Kunikakasu and Kishu Tosho-gu, Kimiidera Temple, Wakayama Marina City (beach resort district). The city is also well known for having one of Japan's Melody Roads that produce sounds (via vibrations) while driving on the grooves cut into the pavement.
