It serves reimagined, elevated dishes inspired by the regions the ship is sailing, connecting guests' onshore experiences with their onboard dining. THE BAZAAR (lower level 1 of 3)
THE BAZAAR is the replacement of the EDEN complex on previous EDGE-class ships. It is designed as an immersive, ever-transforming area that aims to erase the line between ship and shore by bringing destination experiences shipboard. The concept revolves around hosting different destination-inspired festivals throughout the cruise, each reflecting the culture, flavors, sights, and sounds of the ports visited.
The Bazaar is a three-deck venue (aft on decks 4-5-6) combining a bar lounge (The Bazzar), two dining venues (Mosaic Restaurant, Spice Cafe), and a retail shopping complex (Market at The Bazaar). Its outward-facing design offers a signature dining experience (light lunches, 5-course dinners, wine tastings), daily lectures, and live performances.
The 3-deck Bazaar complex includes the following venues:
Market at The Bazaar is a retail shopping venue where local artisans showcase crafts and offer demonstrations and food tastings. The Market is not a traditional shopping arcade, but it functions as a rotating pop-up marketplace featuring local artisans who board the ship to showcase and sell their crafts. Beyond shopping, it is highly experiential, offering guests opportunities to participate in activities like live basket-weaving demonstrations, rum and chocolate pairings, and local hot sauce tastings led by the artisans themselves. A key feature is that its offerings are itinerary-dependent and change multiple times throughout a sailing to align with the four different destination-inspired festivals (e.g., Viva, Aqua, Carnival) celebrated in The Bazaar. This ensures that even on sea days, guests can continue to immerse themselves in the culture and flavors of the ports they are visiting.
The Mosaic Restaurant is an open-kitchen venue serving regionally-inspired dishes and offers a Chef's Table (VIP dining room) experience.
The Spice Cafe is for casual dining (rotating bites).
The Chef's Studio provides destination-inspired cooking classes.
The Bazaar's programming, including its retail and activity offerings, changes multiple times per cruise to align with the festival themes. This venue is a central part of Celebrity Xcite's identity and features different festivals when the ship sails in the Caribbean versus the Mediterranean. Ultimately, The Bazaar represents Celebrity Cruises' significant investment in destination immersion and is one of seven new experiences introduced on Celebrity Xcite.
A 90-meter (295 ft) ramp winds through The Bazaar, providing panoramic views from wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling windows. The unique furniture and interiors are by Patricia Urquiola (Spain), who also designed the "Library of Plants" and hanging plant pillars. The venue was designed by Scott Butler (Wilson Butler Architects, Boston MA), and evening shows are curated by Variety Worldwide (New York).
Grand Plaza
The Grand Plaza serves as the ship's epicenter (midship location) spanning 3 decks. The venue mixes modernity and simplicity and was inspired by the charming era of Transatlantic ocean liners.
The unique space has a striking lighting feature - The Chandelier, an art installation rising over Martini Bar to the ceiling 3 decks above. It is composed of 5 levels and a total of 765 blades illuminated via dynamic LED strips changing their colors from day to night, The Chandelier weighs 7 tons.
The Grand Plaza houses many specialty restaurants, including Fine Cut Steakhouse and Raw on 5 (Deck 5) Le Grand Bistro and Cafe al Bacio (Deck 4), Grand Plaza Cafe (Deck 3), Italian piazzas. At its center (Deck 3) is Martini Bar. Adorning the edges of Grand Plaza are hand-stitched mesh screens that combine over 13,500 art pieces made of leather, fabric and metal.
Grand Plaza's cafes are the perfect choice for "coffee breaks" - from morning cappuccino to afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails - while enjoying live entertainment. In the evenings, Grand Plaza transforms into the ship's social hub with live music performances.
Le Grand Bistro (Le Petite Chef)
During the day, "Le Grand Bistro" operates as a patisserie and cafeteria serving French cuisine. In the evenings, Le Grand Bistro transforms into "Le Petite Chef" - a new dining-entertainment concept via exclusive partnership with TableMation Studios (US multimedia company) and Skullmapping (2010-founded collective of filmmakers and visual artists).
The dinner experience includes visual mapping technology with animated 3D characters projected (from above) onto tables and on plates. The VIP dining is at fixed surcharge. It costs USD 25 pp (Le Grand Bistro) and USD 55 pp (Le Petite Chef).
