Deck layout and review

Review of MSC World Asia deck 8 (Beijing-Promenade-Spa)

MSC's World Class ships feature a futuristic design with an arrow-shaped (90-degree/vertically positioned) G-bow and a Y-shaped stern that opens onto the World Promenade. World Promenade spans 7 decks (total length 104 m / 341 ft) and continues indoors (to the World Galleria/sized 300 m2 / 3200 ft2) as it is partially covered by a kinetic dome ceiling with a LED screen on which are projected UHD images and videos throughout the day and night. World Galleria is lined with restaurants, bars, shops, and boutiques.

On the World Promenade ends "The Spiral" (aka The Venom Drop) - a stainless-steel "dry slide". Spanning 11 decks (length 76 m / 250 ft), the slide is the quickest (and most fun) way to get from Deck 22 down to Promenade Deck (deck 8).

MSC Aurea SPA (ship's wellness complex) features a Beauty Salon, Solarium, Steam Room, Sauna, Relaxation Room, Thalassotherapy hot tubs, Treatment Rooms, Tanning Showers, Whirlpools; Spa opens 8 am - 8 pm, Gym opens 6 am - 10 pm/complimentary, with Aerobics Room for classes), served by the MSC Aurea Spa Bar / Zest - Juice Bar selling fresh-squeezed juices

Les Dunes Restaurant is exclusive, serving only Aurea-cabin passengers. It is one of the ship’s main dining rooms, offering a refined culinary experience with exquisite Mediterranean and international specialities. Its menu changes daily, ensuring variety and freshness with each visit.

The Gin Project is a gin bar serving 70+ craft gins, as well as classic and botanical cocktails prepared by certified bartenders.

Eataly Restaurant (Eataly Food Chain designed food store and specialty restaurant) is the only one of its kind at sea, delivering an authentic Italian culinary experience. It features an open kitchen (live cooking demonstrations) and offers fresh-made pasta and traditional Italian dishes with ingredients sourced from Italian suppliers.

The Loft Comedy & Live Music (comedy club in Terraces District) is an adults-only venue hosting nightly stand-up comedy shows, dueling pianos, and karaoke singing.

Elixir Mixology Bar serves handcrafted and trendy cocktails prepared by expert mixologists and features an outdoor terrace with seating

Fizz Champagne Bar is elevating the experience from previous liners with a dedicated venue. The sumptuous lounge offers a stylish atmosphere to enjoy decadent Champagne/sparkling wine, chilled seafood, a selection of caviar, and more.

Jaw Drop @ The Spiral is the ship’s signature attraction featuring the Tree of Life dry slide, which is the longest dry slide at sea, spanning 81.3 meters and descending 12 decks. Inspired by the trees of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, the structure combines thrilling design with a dramatic, jaw‑shaped entrance. Riders slide through the sculptural “spiral” in seconds, making it a high-adrenaline highlight of the ship’s World Promenade entertainment area.

Sweet Temptations (ice cream bar for premium gelato and frozen yogurt/build-your-own choices)

All Stars Sports Bar is designed to replicate an authentic game-day atmosphere with American-style bar games.

The Lanai is a relaxing, open-air lounge located along the ship’s World Promenade. It provides guests with a calm, scenic spot to unwind, enjoy a drink, and take in panoramic ocean views.

The midship Panoramic Lifts are glass-wall and glass-floor elevators located in the Atrium.

Forward are located crew-only facilities and staff cabins.
