Viking Neptune deck plans

MV Viking Neptune (2022-built) is the 9th in a 10-ship series of identical cruise vessels built for Viking OCEAN between 2015 and 2027 (fleet). The vessel’s design was specifically developed for Viking’s innovative “small ship travel” all-inclusive vacation concept, combining the “excursions-inclusive river cruising” experience with an “affordable luxury” ocean travel product.

Viking Neptune’s deck plan features a total of 464 staterooms for 928 passengers, served by 470 crew and staff, across 10 decks (6 with passenger cabins). Facilities include 2 swimming pools (1 infinity pool and 1 covered pool with a retractable roof), 2 Jacuzzi hot tubs, and 6 elevators (2 of which are panoramic with glass walls). This is an adults-only ship (minimum age requirement 16 years), with no dedicated children’s facilities or programs.

All cabin decks are equipped with launderettes (free-of-charge passenger-use laundromats). These self-service laundry rooms feature ironing boards, washers, and dryers, with detergent provided complimentary.

Like her sisterships, Viking Neptune offers an intimate, boutique hotel-style ambiance, with signature Scandinavian-inspired decor, luxury fabrics, spacious lounges furnished with elegant leather seating, gourmet cuisine, and a curated art collection. Unlike most modern cruise ships, Viking OCEAN vessels do not feature a casino (gambling lounge or bar).

Viking OCEAN ships incorporate some of the industry’s most advanced maritime technologies, including energy-efficient hybrid engines (diesel generators combined with gas turbines), optimized hull forms, and bulbous bows for maximum fuel efficiency. The ship design also includes solar panels (installed on the Magradome pool cover), a feature common to the company’s river longships, further reducing exhaust emissions.
