Windstar to offer cruises to the Red Sea and Persian Gulf (2023-2024)

Windstar’s newest offering includes voyages to the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf – a first for the ultra-luxury travel brand.

The new 2023-2024 winter program begins in November 2023, on the 312-passenger Star Legend.

The 18-day "Wonders of Arabia" itinerary leaves from Piraeus-Athens (Greece) and ends in Dubai (UAE) transiting the Suez Canal (Egypt) and spending 5 days in Egypt and Jordan, including an overnight in Luxor to take in the Karnak and Luxor temples, followed by 2 days in Oman.

The 10-day Sparkling Sands & Cities of the Persian Gulf is scheduled to sail on 11 dates from Dubai to Muscat (Oman), and the reverse. Highlights include overnights in Abu Dhabi UAE and Doha (Qatar), a late night in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK City, UAE), stops in quieter ports like Khasab (Musandam Oman)/Fujairah UAE, as well as time on Sir Bani Yas Island (UAE private island).

The 9-day Arabian Nights & Egyptian Days voyage sails on 2 dates (one in each direction) from Jeddah to Aqaba (Petra, Jordan), and the reverse. Highlights feature an overnight in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) and Safaga (Luxor, Egypt).

There is one Red Sea Revelries via the Suez - a 12-day cruise from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia, Mecca) to Piraeus-Athens (Greece). Highlights feature an overnight in Luxor, later night in Sokhna, transit through the Suez, and a day in Heraklion (Crete Greece).

Tourists can choose to sail aboard the company’s tall-sailing yachts - the 148-passenger sisterships Wind Star and Wind Spirit and the 342-passenger Wind Surf, or the newly refurbished 312-passenger sisterships Star Breeze, Star Legend, and Star Pride
