VIVA Cruises has opened bookings for its complete 2027 schedule of themed river voyages, introducing 19 departures focused on wellness, jazz and crime-inspired experiences across European inland waterways.
Operating between February and November 2027, the programme will feature sailings of 4 to 7 nights on the boats VIVA ONE and VIVA RUBY. The itineraries are designed to combine traditional river cruising with specialised onboard programmes tailored to specific interests, offering guests a more immersive travel experience while maintaining the line’s all-inclusive concept.
Among the featured sailings is The Ultimate Wellness Journey Between Iconic Cities & Fairytale Villages, a 4-night round voyage aboard VIVA ONE. Scheduled for 8 departures during February and March, the itinerary sails round-trip from Düsseldorf and visits Boppard, Speyer, Rüdesheim and Linz am Rhein, while also passing through the Loreley Valley of the Middle Rhine. The voyage will include wellness-focused menus and presentations by health and wellbeing professionals.
Fares are advertised from GBP 895 per person.
The programme also includes a 6-night Jazz Cruise to Brussels departing on November 7th, 2027, aboard VIVA ONE. The round-trip from Düsseldorf will visit Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Antwerp and Nijmegen. A dedicated jazz programme is planned throughout the cruise, including performances by pianist Frank Muschalle.
Prices start from GBP 1,395 per person.
For guests seeking a different thematic experience, Mystery from the Spree to the Rhine will depart on October 30th, 2027, aboard VIVA RUBY. The 7-night voyage is between Berlin and Düsseldorf, visiting Potsdam, the Rothensee boat lift, Calvörde, Wolfsburg, Minden and Münster. Onboard activities will focus on notable criminal cases, investigative history and crime fiction through lectures, readings and themed events.

VIVA Cruises stated that the expanded programme had been developed to provide guests with a broader range of experiences while preserving the relaxed atmosphere associated with river cruising. The company noted that the 2027 collection represents its most diverse themed offering to date, creating additional opportunities for both first-time river cruise passengers and returning guests.
The sailings will continue to operate under the line’s all-inclusive model, which includes meals, flexible dining options across multiple restaurants, premium beverages, onboard Wi-Fi and gratuities. Additional amenities include a stocked minibar replenished daily, in-cabin Nespresso machines, a complimentary High Tea during each voyage, a welcome bottle of prosecco and branded toiletries.
With the introduction of 19 themed departures, VIVA Cruises is further expanding its niche river cruise portfolio, reflecting growing demand for voyages that combine destination-focused itineraries with specialised onboard programming.
