Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched its Autumn & Winter 2027 programme, offering 20 sailings scheduled between October and December 2027. The collection has been designed to provide a wide range of seasonal travel options, from voyages in search of the Northern Lights and cultural itineraries across the Mediterranean and Morocco to festive cruises and Caribbean escapes during the winter months.
A notable feature of the programme is the expansion of Mediterranean fly-cruises aboard Balmoral. Introduced in response to sustained guest demand, these itineraries are structured to reduce time spent at sea and maximise opportunities ashore, with voyages covering destinations across the Greek Islands, Italy, Croatia, and the French and Turkish Rivieras.
The programme also includes four maiden calls for the company, with Milazzo, Taranto, and Golfo Aranci in Italy, alongside Alanya in Türkiye, appearing for the first time on Fred. Olsen itineraries. Several ports accessible primarily to smaller vessels have also been incorporated, including Mahon in Menorca, Propriano in Corsica, Ermoupoli on Syros, and Agios Nikolaos in Crete.
Martin Lister, Head of Product Innovation at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, indicated that the new programme had been developed to offer a broad spectrum of experiences, ranging from shorter voyages suited to first-time cruisers or those seeking a brief getaway, to longer itineraries designed for more immersive travel. He noted that guests departing from the United Kingdom would have opportunities to explore destinations across Morocco and Southern Europe, visit renowned cultural landmarks, pursue Northern Lights experiences in Norway, participate in a mystery cruise, or spend the festive season in the Caribbean. He further stated that the Mediterranean fly-cruise programme had been expanded following strong demand, allowing guests to spend more time exploring destinations ashore while reducing sea days.
Among the featured sailings is Bolette’s 15-night Spain, Morocco and Portugal Discovery voyage, departing Newcastle on October 2nd, 2027. The itinerary includes calls at La Coruña, Tangier, Melilla, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Matosinhos for Porto, and Honfleur before returning to Newcastle.
