Hessigheim is a Neckar River cruise port and small town in Germany's Baden-Wurttemberg state (Ludwigsburg district) with population around 3,000. The town is located approx 25 km (16 mi) north of Stuttgart (state's capital and largest city). Hessigheim is best known for its scenic location (at one of Neckar's horseshoe bends) and the traditional river valley scenery, being surrounded by forests and terraced hills with vineyards.
As cruise port, Hessigheim is included in the schedules of two of Europe's largest river cruise companies - Phoenix Reisen (ship Switzerland) and Mystic-Nico Cruises (ship Heidelberg). The next table shows the 10-day itinerary as ports sequence and times.
